7th Congress of Cardionephrology — November 24–26, 2025

Difass International S.p.A. had the pleasure and honor of taking part in the 7th Congress of Cardionephrology, held in Rome from November 24 to 26, 2025.

During the congress, Dr. Alida Agostini, Scientific Director of Difass, delivered a presentation entitled: “Pharmacological Aspects of Short-Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) in Patients with Cardiorenal Metabolic Syndrome.”

The presentation included an in-depth discussion on metabolic health, with particular reference to obesity, diabetes, and hepatic steatosis, as well as their relationship with the gut and the gut–metabolic axis. Special attention was also given to the study by Fogacci et al. (2024), generating considerable interest among the participants attending the session.
