Levareflux®: collection of clinical cases
A collection of 5 clinical cases of Levareflux® use has recently been published in Nutrafoods, a peer reviewed journal specialized in Nutraceuticals, edited by Dr. Martino, GP of Altamura.

The title is: “Use of a preparation based on zinc, carnosine and Macrocystis pyrifera in the treatment of gastric disorders due to Helicobacter pylori: a case series”.

Patients had a long history of gastrointestinal disorders, diagnosed with reflux esophagitis and positive for H. pylori. "All patients reported serious side effects related to the use of the drugs, which is why they refused second-line therapy, but agreed to undergo treatment with the pump inhibitor esomeprazole (40 mg) combined with a preparation based on zinc, carnosine and Macrocystis pyrifera (3 capsules a day, 20 minutes after meals) for one month "

The conclusions report: "In the observed cases, the combination of pump inhibitors with a preparation based on ZCM led to the reduction of symptoms in patients who did not respond to drug treatment alone, and in two subjects to the eradication of H. pylori. Despite the small size of the sample, the findings are of considerable interest and studies should be conducted on a larger scale to confirm them."
