Prother® 5 and diabetic population
A clinical study that evaluated the effects of Prother® 5 on inflammatory and oxidative stress parameters in diabetic patients was recently published.
The study was published in the journal Nutrition, IF 3.591, which aims to highlight progress in nutrition research and science.
 
120 diabetic patients were enrolled, divided into two groups (60 WPI vs 60 placebo), as a model for assessing the parameters of inflammation and oxidative stress. In all parameters, a significant difference of the WPI vs placebo group was detected, also as regards to the lipid profile and fasting glucose, after 3 months of supplementation with 1 sachet per day.
 
Conclusions are significative: “WPI supplementation can be useful in patients with diabetes to control fasting blood sugar. In addition, it can help improving inflammatory and oxidative stress, which plays a crucial role in the development of complications of diabetes and also in the progression of other chronic diseases. "
